Salads
Instead
of giving you all a boring introduction explaining why dieting is good and all, let’s just start with a go.
The
first step to lose weight is to have a lot of Salads with your dinner or Iftar.
Eating less is just not possible but eating green is.
Basically
your stomach needs a specific volume of food to fill up and stop wanting more. Eating
Salads with your dinner will fill you up in a much more healthy way as compared
to the same calories of oils.
Stay away from processed food. They tend
to be high in sodium which will raise the water weight of your body. They are
generally unhealthy for you. Anything that has more than 10 ingredients on it,
like processed food, is surely unhealthy. Some of the ingredients in processed foods have weird
names. Often difficult to pronounce.
So stick to natural foods and try to
dodge frozen foods candies and pizzas etc.
It is very healthy to go for walks
after eating. Going on a walks after eating reduces the blood sugar level by
50%, much safer and better than insulin injection. This will also help neutralize the cravings that you eat
after meals. Your blood sugar level will rise and fall fast.
Drinking lots of water will trick
your brain into feeling full, while in reality you haven’t eaten anything, it’s
just the water that makes you feel full.
This trick is practiced by competitive food eaters. They drink a lot of water, several days, which makes
them eat less food. Then a day before the food eating competition, they stop drinking
water. Their food track, by that time, is completely empty and ready to accommodate
anything.
Replace foods like cakes, cookies and
other deserts with bananas , apples and peaches. These fruits contain sugars
that less readily mixes in blood as compared to the sugars present in deserts.
Bananas and apples have much less
calories as compared to cakes and cookies. Although during Ramadan you want to
have all those sweets and sugars. But I can assure you, that 20 minutes into
eating a banana, you will feel much much better than you would have been with a
cake.
I said 20 minutes because it takes
about 20 minutes for a banana to kick in. So right away you might not feel
anything but after wards you are definitely going to feel it.
